I am burning CDR's on a yamaha 3200, using Safeburn, and while they usually play on my CD player, on my friends CD player, we get skips.
If I burn with Quality Master engaged ...no problem. This makes me think its a jitter problem.
I usually copy on the fly, but get same results from HD. Always burn at 4x speed, use good blanks, ....any ideas m8s on how to fix this?

Don't know if this will help you or not, but I had a similar problem and discs wouldn't play in the wife's car cd player, but they played in everything else I had. I finally figured out that her player didn't like 700MB discs, as long as I used 650MB discs the player is fine. Just a thought.

@MP3MOGUL

Thanks for this, but it is not as simple as that. The 650 versus 700 issue for car cd players is well known (over here in the UK).
This is hi-fi cd players, although it sometimes happens with his CD-Rom as well. It's not dirty lasers, all kit is kept clean. It's got us baffled.

Thanks for trying m8, it's appreciated.

@Laffin

I usually use Nugen Media, or Sirius.

I'll get some Ritek, but don't think the reflective surface is any different. Perhaps it is a process of finding best blank match???

Thanks for the idea m8.

u say that the cd's play on ur cd player but doesnot play on ur friends'. One reoson could be that ur friends cd player is an old cd player which cannot read at the speed of 4x. try 1x or 2x.

I guess that will help!!!
