Hi all.
I have read in many sites that the Yamaha CDRW2200E can store up to 92:00 minutes in a 99-min cd-r media. I have one of this burners, I try everything but I get always the same, I can burn up to 81:30 minutes. Please, if someone have recordered 90 minutes using the Yamaha CDRW2200E, tell me, how can I do it?
Thanks on advance.

Hi Hawkins
What program are you trying to burn them with if you are using Nero
Open Nero and go to File/Preferences
And change Red Marker to 92.00 minutes
Then click on Expert Features on the top Menu
Then change the Maximum CD length to 92 minutes
And make sure Enable Overburn is ticked
Click on Apply then OK
Try this and hopefully it will cure your problems
I hope this helps !

I use Cdrwin. When I try to burn more than 80 minutes, I can see a warning, "warning, this disc is longer than 74 minutes, are you sure to continue?", I press Yes and I can burn 80 minutes cds, but when I try to burn a 90 minutes cds I received an error, allways in the 81:30 position.
ARRGGGGG.

The same happend. All is ok but when I reach to the 81:30 minutes the copy fails. I use the last firmware from yamaha, but this doesn't help. How can the feurio! team burn 92 minutes with this drive??

The Yamaha 2200e will write up to 91:59 mins!
Well it seems to me that you have only got 80 min CDR media there are some that are knocking about Labeled as 90 mins and they are only 80 mins. I suggest you try another brand of 90 mins !
Any easy way to find out what capacity your CDR has is to put one into your 2200e and run Drive check in Nero CD Speed will tell you!

Hi Hawkins
Did you use the settings I told you in other post for Nero ! With those settings you should have no Problems writing them. I have used those settings on the Yamaha 2200e and the 3200e with no problems at all. I hope you didn't buy all the other you mentioned from the same supplier ! Another thing to do is to make sure you have the latest Firmware installed which you can get from :-

Failing that I suggest you get in touch with Yamaha Technical Support as it looks like you have a Hardware problem and I am sure they will help.

I always check the ATIP information using Feurio! on each cd I use. And all of them (except the D-Vision and the Platinum brand), are from a diferent factory. I configured Nero as you told me, but the same happend. I use the last firmware too. If, as you tell me, I have a hardware problem, then my friend have the same hardware problem, and as I read in this topic:
http://www.cdrinfo.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=1983
There is more people that have this problem too.
