Does anyone know if Liteon will sell a SCSI CD Burner in the future?

Thanks to all replies in advance!

I wouldn't have thought so as not many Companies seem interested in making SCSI cdrw's anymore as the IDE have got better and better and they are always cheaper.

The Lite-on LTR-1240 SCSI should be able to do Safedisk 2 with Clone Cd and AWS enabled.

according to clonecd's website, the liteon scsi drive is not safedisk compatible in hardware. Some software (such as blindwrite, betablocker, and clonecd (if your not in the USA) may be able to overcome it with software tricks. I used to LOVE scsi burners too, but the current crop of IDE burners are of such good quality that scsi for burning is pretty much dead. I sold my plextor 121032 scsi 9 months ago, got a liteon 24102b, and i can say i have NO regrets. The liteon scsi drive according to clonecd's site also appears to not support raw 96 or burnproof, which is a serious negative in my book. I know its hard to admit, but its time to move over to ide for burning, scsi is dead. If your out of IDE ports or just hate the idea of using ide to record over, get a firewire pci card (about $25 US if you shop hard), and a firewire burner.
