Usually we always get anything later than the USA and always pay more for them. I see they are advertising them at the site you linked, at $157.77 for the OEM White, $165.55 for the White Retail Version but how come they charging $168.89 for the OEM black and $182.22 for the Black Retail Version are they colour predigist

LOL. Probably because they have to mess with the line and don't make as many... results in slightly higher unit costs.

What I don't understand is that the one for $157 sounds like it's a retail IDE with a 10PK of 24X CDRW's.... which is cheaper than a regular retail drive. Dunno about that one. Seems like .com business logic to me... sell a more expensive bundle for less.

So John... is it worth pre-ordering?

FYI Sparco has a solid resellerrating but seems to rape you for shipping charges. Newegg ships comparable stuff for 2/3 the price.

I think that's the bulk price each, if you buy 10 CRW-F1's at once

Just like if you buy anything in bulk, they end up cheaper than if purchsed seperately.

I think we will start an on-line Live Auction for your Lite-on's and in the price we will include the Delivery charge. You never know someone may even give you a good price ! I could advertise it on a site in the UK and get Kennyshin to write it in Korean or Chineese so no body would know what they were buying that is the only way you will have a chance of selling it at a profit !!!

Hey, I sold one of my LTR-32125W's for $40AUD more than what I paid for it in the first place

They sell for heaps in retail shops and much, much less on-line

He thought he had a bargain

When it is finished it will come upon the web. Be patient. We all want an accurate not rushed review. After all the Yamaha CRW-F1E has so many features (24x, DiscT@2, AudioMaster, etc..) that needed to be tested extensively!

The test labs PCs are now on FIRE!
