anyway .. it will be too late for me ... I've taken the LiteOn ... after some tests, I've definitively replaced my TEAC 540E (not a bad one) with the DVD LiteOn.

Yes but ... "Houston .. We've a problem"

The firmware in my drive is GV3R ... updated firmware is GH4S with built-in flash utility which supports only GH01-GH4Z.
It's then impossible to flash my drive.

And It could be really interesting to flash it (there's a tool for setting the drive to RPC-1 .. this tool is not working with GV3R but is supposed to do the job with GH4S)

Could you please do a cd data speed transfer test http://cdspeed2000.com/files/NeroCDSpeed_083.zip
and and DAE test http://cdspeed2000.com/files/cddae99_02.zip ? And give the start, average , and end speeds . Use a disc of at least 74 min for both tests.

Judging by the NeroSpeed chart, the 48 part of the 16x48x should actually be 40.

I wonder if the 16 part of it is justified. Anyone did DvdSpeed tests on it yet?
