The LTR32123S isn't upgradeable. Only the LTR32125W. Don't waste your time.

Sim,

You CAN NOT overclock your LTR-32123S Drive--wrong chipset. The 3 in the LTR-3212"3" donotes chipset and the only drives that can overclock are the 5 series chipsets--32125W, 40125S, and 40125W.

So don't try or you might hose yourself.

Just to add my voice to the 48x results. I upgraded from 40x "W" version to 48x. I was able to burn MOHAA in 2:28. That seems like it is 48x type speed.

We had problems burning at 48x with LiteOn 40x OC to 48x. The problem is the limited media support for LiteOn 48x and LiteOn should really improve its writing strategy before rushing to release new and faster burners that cannot burn at 48x

I ended up going back to ZS0J for the time being. We'll see if later 48x firmware releases are better, but I was having way too many errors to consider it reliable.

Burner you could post your test results here, instead of linking other forums. This way viewers can respond to your results
