I just bought a 20 pack of FujiFilm 24x CD-R's 700Meg/80min

I ran CDR id and was surprised to see "Taiyo Yuden Company" :)

Can someone with 16x FujiFilm media post the CDR id info?

I just bought a spindle of 50 of these, for $12.49, I hope they are the Taiyos.

Still waiting to go home and check at lunch, they do say Made in Japan on the label portion, so that is encouraging, since Ritek is Taiwan, and basically all of the bad CDR brands. Taiyo Yuden is in Japan, so...

Here's hoping.

16x or 24x - if they're Fujii and made in Japan- they're Taiyo Yuden and are the same disks- they relabeled the 16x supply to 24x- (you can peel the label off) - Never had a coaster using them at 16x or 24x.

HOw are these cds @ 24x overburning. ARe they fine? any problems. Trying to decide between these and the TDK cdrs. What yall think?
100 FUji 24x for 30 100 TDK for 20(plus 10 mail in rebate) then no name **** for 5$ for 50.

If you can shell out the money I'd go with the Taiyo Yuden's (FujiFilm). I've been using the Fuji's even before I knew they were TYs. I've been unable to get any discounts on Fujis, but I'm still shell'n out the extra cash for 'em. It really depends on your burner. If your burner likes TDK, then by all means spend the $20 less (after rebate) and get the TDKs. But in general the TYs are the best. If you're looking to severely overburn > 84min even the TYs won't help you. You'll need specialty 90/99min cds.

My only word of caution with the Fujis is the frosted plastic inner ring around the spindle cr^cks easily. It must be the substrate they use. Don't put it in any cd cases or portable players that add pressure to the ring. You'll end up with a damaged cd.

Most 24x disc's of TDK are made by Taiyo Yuden and with 10 cd's of the 30 which I bought a few weeks ago I had some problems. ( On my plex and on the 24x burners of my friends which are the Lite ON 24102B and the 24x speed burner of TEAC)
With the Fuji's also made by Taiyo Yuden we had zero problems.
So I would go for the Fuji's if I where you.
