Good day,

I have bought a PleXWriter 24/10/40A back in December 2001, and the firmware is 1.01 (came with the drive).

Today I went to plextors site and it appears to exist a version 1.03.

My questions are:

[1] Will it be better to upgrade to a new version?

[2] Is it safe?

[3] Does it bring any advantage?

[4] Does it disable any feature or capacity on making backup copies of my original CD software/music? Or does it loose any performance on any way?

And another YES! You do want to be able to use other media, and the drive to function BETTER, don't you? Well, get the new firmware then.
