Hi there !

I have following Problem. I used my Yamaha 2100s under Win98 SE without any problems. But now i`ve upgraded to WinXP and everytime i burn a CD i get a Track Following Error. No matter what stuff i burn (ISO,SVCD,Backup). Nothing happened, what could have destroyed my Burner ?! Tried Clone CD and Nero.

Hardware: Abit KT7a, Athlon TB 1400, 512 MB SD Ram, Teac CD-532SK and Yamaha CD 2100s (newest BIOS 1.0n) both on one SCSI Cable connected to Adaptec 2940 SCSI Controller.

Software: WinXP Professional with all Patches installed (CD Burner Patch...), Actual Adaptec ASPI Drivers, Nero 5.5.7.8, Clone CD 3.3.4.1.

Please help ! I don`t want to Downgrade to 98 or buy a new burner :(
Are there any known incompatibilities ?

similar problem here but I have Windows 2000 and it's only happened to me with CloneCD and not Nero.
I use to not get this but I don't know how or why.

My workaround is to wait for it to give the error (it takes 4 minutes for CloneCD to realize it) and since it only does this in the leadin, the CDR is still usable. I then eject the CDR, 86 the program and try again after a bit (doesn't work all the time of course but it usually does after several tries).

I have both the CRW2100E and CRW2100S. It happens on the CRW2100E more times than the SCSI (and it has some issues with reading CDs too).

Thinking that it may be an ASPI issue, I installed the latest Adaptec ASPI, 4.70.

All these problems started after I installed blindwrite suite, I think with one of the weird drivers, P-something.
