I asked this on the old forum yesterday, and today the old forum is history!! So here it goes again... Where do I need to look to find out what the TLA# is on my Plextor 16/10/40a CDRW and what does TLA mean?

Upon the top of the drive. It is the hardware revision of the drive (first batch, second batch..etc).

tla 0000 is Firmware 1 tla 0101 is firmware 2 etc

The first two digits is the hardware revision, the last two digits is the firmware revision.
So for example TLA 0204 means third hardware revision (first one is 00) and firmware version 1.04
