after updating both my comps to 5572, I get
an error message in the beginning of the
write process, something about "could not write
disc at once", terminating the session. . .
I have tried other media as well as rebooting. . .

this didn´t happen yesterday, when I was
running 5564.
I´m running XP.

What model recorder are you using?

I have the same problem. I'm running Win XP Pro, reader and recorder are Plextor, both SCSI. I had to backup to older version to work.

i recieved a file, mmc5572cup.exe, but that didn´t help, so
i uninstalled nero and installed easy cd creator instead. . .

For those with a Plexotr SCSI drive, we do have a known bug in Nero in regards to this drive. Our Tech's have a patch, that should resolve this issue.

For others, try doing the copy with the ISRC disabled. And do not use the Nero Wizard.

I have the same problems with my HP 8230e USB writer. . .
Something went wrong with this latest Nero release for sure!

So, I´m sticking to Easy CD Creator until the next Nero release.

While I haven't seen this problem, I have noticed a new addition to the latest build. After writing/copying a CD, Nero pops up a dialog box saying how many times the drive activated burn-proof mode. It was interesting the first couple of times, now it's annoying. I saw no option anywhere to turn that off. Is it possible? If not, please add it to the next build. Ideally, a checkbox on that dialog saying don't show this again or similar.

I'm using a Plexwriter 24/10/40, if it matters.

There's a thread in the Plextor section about this....it's REALLY annoying I know! - a lot of people are wondering what that's about, including myself. I can't use an older version of Nero because it won't detect the Plextor 40x12x40 writer on any version older than 5.5.7.2

Nero 5572 is working fine with me and Iam runnig winxp pro too
But I have SONY spreesa CRX1611 :D

Sorry, this does not occur on all drives, but there are a few where the Recorder MFG's have requested this feature, and for those this message will appear for. Sorry, no way for you to disable.

Ok, I'm confused, Plextor has asked you to put in a feature that annoys their and your customers, and you do it without a second thought??!! Fortunately, I can go back to 5.5.6.4 and eliminate the problem cause I have the 24X drive. But for those with the 40X drive, the only way to eliminate the annoyance is to use other software? I guess CD Creator may again get somewhat popular, unless they get this dreaded "feature" too.

I won't be using future versions of Nero unless they get rid of this 'feature.' I think it's ridiculous. :(
