It seems that lower quality CDR factories have improved their quality of media. I was wondering if anyone were to rank these CDR factories in terms of quality of CDR media, how would you do it.

Sony ***
CMC Magnetics
Gigastorage
Multi Media Masters & Machinery SA
Princo
Ritek
Prodisc

*** Sony is thrown in 'cos I didn't know they made their own. I was expecting Taiyo Yudens when I bought a pack of Sony's 'cos that's what my old Sony's were, but it turns out they were made by Sony themselves and I couldn't find a site that had done tests on Sony manufactured CDR's.

Just Tried Ritek White-Label discs, wow, i'm impressed. Burn at high speed easily, play back on everything. They work even better than Kodaks on my PS2!

Ritek White Label is number 1 for me now!

SONY Supremas 700MB 24X rated CD-R media is the one I use. Excellent quality, records @ 24X with ease with my PX-W2410A (except it shifts to 24X at 18mins into the burn instead of 16mins).

Plays back very well on all of my devices (eg. Plextor itself, Lite-On DVD-ROM LTD-163, PlayStation, all CD players/stereo equipment I have tested and all other ROMs I've tested also

Long strategy Cyanine dye used aswell for long lasting life.
