Have you guys tried these?
What is your opinion?

Where I live (Vancouver BC, Canada) these brands are readily available. Can you please give me an insight which one will be the best to buy:

Try to find out the actual manufactuere and type of dye used on these CDRs with CDR Identifier. I have used Memorex, Maxwell and IBM but most are made by CMC and Princo and use cheap cyanine dyes even if they write properly. IBM brands are always on sale here, but i have never used any as my CDR inventory is full. Don't pay over $29cdn/50 for any of thoose !

Good: verbatim, kodak, sony, fuji
However the others are trash except if the Memorex are made by Ritek than it's the best option of all discs. However most Memorex disc's in America seem to be CMC magnetics or Princo which aren't good in Europe they are most times Ritek and sometimes the other 2.
So if you want to try these than first check with cd-r indentifier who is the manufacturer.

Hi thanks for the help.

This is the info I got about IBM CDRs
ATIP: 97m 15s 17f
Disc Manufacturer: Ritek Co.
Assumed Dye type: Phthalocyanine (Type 7)
Media type: CD-Recordable
Recording Speeds: min. unknown - max. unknown
nominal Capacity: 702.83MB (79m 59s 74f / LBA: 359849)

They are made in Taiwan. I have already used about 50 of them to back up some important data. (Cannot afford a Tape Drive right now).
Do you think I should make another copy on something more reliable like Verbatim or Kodak just in case?

Once again thanks for the help.
