is this drive support dma ??? because right now it's just detected in pio 4 mode. is checking the dma box in the properties odf the drive ( in win98) make it to works in dma mode ??? anyone ever tried it ?
any success story here or it just a dream....

I have 16102B and I have DMA enabled and it works fine. When I installed the drive it allready had the DMA checked in the system properties..

does it recognized dma in the bios ??? because mine is pio 4

Yes my BIOS detects it as PIO Mode 4 but Windows (XP in my case) detects it as DMA Mode 2 and CPU use is so low ~2% during burn at 16x it must be correct.

anyone using the intel ata drivers along with this burner ???
and i have one question , after i enable dma on my lite on my dvd ( which was operate in dma mode ) got the tick mark erased on the dvd properties ( control panel->system->device manager->properties) i already tried to untick the dma on the lite on and tick the dma on my dvd but after restart my lite on always got the dma mode and my dvd doesn't. anyone know what's wrong in here... ????
would installing the intel ata driver help ???
I'm using Asus CUSL2 mobo with i851E chipset
