It's a fairly hefty 17.3-inch model, with a 16:9 aspect ratio, LED-lit display that's likely to be perfect for hacking through that DVD backlog, throwing in some extended battery life as a welcome bonus.

Other features of note include an Intel processor, gamer-friendly ATI Mobility Radeon HD4650 graphics card, 4W stereo speakers with subwoofer and SRS virtual surround sound, a desktop-sized keyboard with anti-bacterial coating plus 4x USB ports, including an eSATA combimation port and a chargeable USB port for powering devices when the computer is off.

Windows Vista Home Premium for the OS, but we suspect you will have guessed that.

Samsung isn't disclosing the price as yet, but it will be around in July, so you'll find that out soon enough.
