I'm going to assemble a new machine soon and I will use the Coolermaster case which is made in aluminum. I would like to know if the Plextor or Lite-on CD-RW (and the CD-ROMs as well) have removable faceplates (bezels). I know that most drives can have the tray faceplate removed, but I'm asking about the whole faceplate, tray and the faceplate with the eject, light faceplate.
I'm asking because I don't want an aluminum case and beige drives, I'll either paint them or make custom aluminum faceplates in a machine shop.
It seems Toshiba and Ricoh drives have removable faceplates because they sell them at
http://www.directron.com/silverstorage.html but I would really like Plextor or Lite-on drives.
Any info would be appreciated.
