I have a problem with my Plextor PX-716SA, or rather the windows installation. I have two windows partitions on the same machine, where I use my PX-716SA. One of the windows installations shows a problem, in that writing causes very high CPU load and low write speed. On the other partition all is working fine.
HW Setup:
Asus A8V deluxe
PX716SA on the VIA SATA controller.
VIA drivers installed

I tried repairing windows and reinstalling the VIA drivers. To me it seems like it would be a DMS/PIO issue, but I can't find a way to change any such setting for the PX-716SA.

Here are two performance measurments one showing the low speed with high cpu load, and the other is the working windows installation.

Anyone have an idea on what to do? I know I can re-install windows, but i'd really like to avoid that - boring and time consuming...
