I am very new to this but my son is very hard on playstation games. I have dvd shrink that I use to back up his movies. I made 1 game on it. It burnned perfectly but won't play in the playstation. I do not want to pay $50 or more for a mod card. I also have dvd fab decrypter on a disc but I have no clue how to work it. Is there any way I can use either of these programs to make a playable copy of his games? (The one I made earlier didn't play in the PS2). Any help would be appreciated. Also details would be nice.

The answer would be "no"

You will still need a mod chip or loading device, as you can't make a complete working backup.

Is there any program that will do it without the mod chip? I looked at several but really wasn't sure. If not, just burning it like a dvd seemed to work. Would it work if I had the mod chip or do I need to do it differently?   Thanks for your help.

No, you will not be able to play them without the mod chip.  Well there is a "swap Thing" but you still have to purchase it.  You can't just burn and play.

However, if you get the mod chip you "will" be able to burn them and play without anything additional.
