hey all,
I just read the post about how after upgrading the burner firmware CDRWIN would just burn a coaster (but it would say that the burn was successful). I am using version TS0T on the LiteOn. I was having a lot of trouble with this drive before and, after reformatting my drives and installing win2k and the lastest ASPI later, roxio's ezcd 5 works perfect. However, CDRWIN and Nero both burn coasters but they say that the burn was successful. AFter burning you cannot see anything on the CD.

Now, LITE-ON has a newer firmware on their website - TS0V. Has anyone tried it? Or know of why CDRWIN and Nero are burning coasters? Roxio seems to work fine though....

well, i just tried upgrading the firmware and sure enough, i can't through windows, so does anyone have the DOS version of TS0V ?

You can install it from Win2k, but only if you have an aspi layer installed (i.e., install Adaptec EZCD creator). You can uninstall it after, and the aspi layers stays...

When I first ran it, it gave me "error 32" or something stupid. Then I ran it with apcompat.exe as Windows 98, and it said "wnaspi32.dll not found"...so I installed Adaptec and everything worked after that.

Funny how I had to run apcompat.exe just to get a real error message.
