Ricoh announces the Caplio GX8 Creative Set for the Caplio GX8 Compact Digital Camera featuring CCD with 8.42 Effective Megapixels and Wide-Angle Optical Zoom Lens

RICOH EUROPE B.V. announced the launch of the „Caplio GX8 Creative Set“ including the Caplio GX8 digital camera, featuring high image quality thanks to its CCD with 8.42 effective megapixels, combined with an exciting package of accessories (consisting of wide conversion lens DW-4, hood and adapter HA-1, rechargeable battery DB-43, charger BJ-2, and camera case and neck strap) designed to enhance the enjoyment of photography.

The Caplio GX8 faithfully carries on the Caplio GX concept. Attaining even higher performance standards in a compact format, it meets the needs of the most demanding users. Its CCD with 8.42 effective megapixels ranks it among the best compact digital performers, enabling the Caplio GX8 to accurately render details in stunningly vivid, high-quality images.

It comes equipped with a 28-85mm (when converted to 35 mm format camera) wide-angle optical zoom lens. The outstanding structure of this lens ensures an adequate amount of peripheral light at wide-angle edges while providing impressive, powerful wide angles, thus expanding the opportunities for truly eye-catching images.

Additional features are Aperture Priority mode for precise control of depth of field and Manual Exposure mode, which allows setting shutter speed to match the intended subject.
