I recorded some footage with the Canon DC10 DVD camcorder using the DVD-R mini disc. I played back the footage on the camcorder. I didn't finalize the disc yet, but obviously the information for that footage was written to the disc. Now comes my main question. How safe is that data on the disc once it's written? When doing later recording on that disc, the later footage didn't get recorded completley with an error message ocurring. That's a big problem, because I'm not able to access the footage from earlier that I played back. Is there any real way that it could have been damaged or erased? I would not think it could have done that, but I'd like to hear some comments. I'm trying to get the data back now. How could the camcorder have just gone back to that data and destroy it. You have to choose to erase something usually. Thanks.
