Never though I'll need it but after my 7 yrs old son crack my belove Railroad Tycoon 3 game disc.  I am now seriously thinking of getting a CD backup software before more game disc is destroy.
A quick search found CloneCD and Alcohol 120%. Which is a better software for such a task?
I am currently using LG 4163 writer.

Thanks,
Sam

How about Blindwrite of VSO? I have read this is the best for games backup. Keep on mind that some protection its a matter of herdware, meaning the capabilities of the drive's chipset, as it is the Safedisc protection for example.

since the disc is physically damaged, i don't think that any software will do the job, just buy the game again and next time make a backup

You might try contacting the company.  Many will replace the disc for only the price of shipping.  Of course you'll have to send the damaged one to them.  Eitherway, it's worth a shot.
