Here is some history. I recently been getting bad burns on from my cdrw. I was using the Plasmon's cdrs. I use the CD quality test on CD Nero Speed v1.0. I during the test I would get errors at some point during the test, could be as higher as 30000+. I did this 5 times with the Plasmon's cdrs and always got errors. If I put these burnt cds into my cdom drive I would get errors about 80000+ in each position. Does this mean those cdrs are bad for my cdrw and does the 80000+ errors in each position of the cdr mean my cdrom is dirty or bad? Now if I use the Ritek's cdrs I would get almost to no errors showing in my CD Quality Test on my cdrw, but if I take these burns to my cdrom. I would still get the 80000+ error per position.

My questions are should I keep to using the Ritek's cdrs cuz of the clean CD Quality Test results and dump the Plasmon's cdrs cuz of the error ridden CD Quality Test results. The 80000+ errors on my cdrom, should I replace that cdrom?

Unfortunately media quality ia mixture of too many factors aiming at too different purposes.

I would use discs of a proven compatibility record on older players.
Among them I would choose the particular type offering less read errors.
Now that all equipment and media are so cheap, I would also go for a major and respected brand.
