i really need some help you guys

okay here is the problem
i have 2 cd drives 1. CD-RW 2. NORMAL CD DRIVE

THEY was working fine untill one day i scanned the system and i got code 19 saying that for both the registry is invalid or damaged but the drives both open

so i take the cover off switch around the cables and i have no clue how to set them as either master or slave then i restart my pc the cd drives dont show in my computer they only open and shut and the plain cd drive plays audio but no media player recognize any drives attached

sorry to be so long with this being my first post
so can somebody please tell me send a photo to me or something cause i have no clue what i've done

YOU WILL GET A BETTER RESPONSE IF YOU DESCRIBE YOU PROBLEM IN THE TOPIC TITLE

If the system had worked previously OK then there was no need to mess around inside the PC.
If your registry cannot be repaired then its time for a clean install of the OS

As for setting up your drives they should be put back to the same as before you tampered with the inturnals, but if you are unable to do this then try HERE for a simple guide to installing a DVD burner which is similar to installing CD drives

This is my first and last answer to your problem
There is no need to post the same query and start 4 new threads on the same subject.

Very well done Flash, I thank You.

Also to: ManiacMenace,

Please do not post the same message 4 times.  You were not being ignored.  Someone with the expertise, such as Flash, had simply not read and answered your post.  Making a post 4 times will not get you a satisfactory response, and it causes problems for you, as well as the admins/moderators.

Thank you in advance for you future assistance.  Please post back and let us know how things work out.

Yeap I also think a new OS installation might help.

You can also try a system restore to a earlier time if it's turned on and working, it might fix it for you, has for me in the past. Unfortunetly when it gets fragmented it tends to stop working and you have to turn it off and restart the service to fix it, which erases earlier restore points
