Always a blessing for the Linux community, Plextor has decided to release a software development kit for their ConvertX line of TV tuners, including the PX-TV402U with hardware DivX compression that we reviewed last November. With this SDK out, the open source community will be able to Plextor’s tuners in a variety of Linux applications thanks to driver compatibility with any capture or PVR application based off of V4L2 (Video for Linux 2). Audio is compliant with ASLA standards, with legacy support for the Open Sound System. The SDK’s driver requires the Linux 2.6 kernel to be used. Source : EverythingUsb
