BenQ on February 3 announced that it would launch a 16x DVD Dual DL (single-sided double-layer) burner equipped with LightScribe direct-disc labeling technology, model DW1625, at the end of February. LightScribe technology has been developed and patented by Hewlett-Packard (HP).

BenQ plans to make the DW1625 burner available in the international market in March, with a manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) of US$119, according to the company.

Model DW1625 features writing speeds of 16x for DVD+R, 8x for DVD-R, 4x for DVD+RW and DVD-RW, 2.4x for DVD+R DL, 40x for CD-R and 24x for CD-RW. It also offers read speeds of 16x for all DVD formats and 40x for CD discs.

Although I am not an admin or moderator, I can't see why not. This is a public forum, isn't it?

Hi semo and others...

Its exactly as Iggy and MP3Mogul said...its a public forum(open to each and every member to post - as long as they know how to behave, and dont publish something illegal or some other unappropriate articles )...so whenever You find some news that werent published yet (or that You think that they might be interesting to other members), You are more than Welcome to post them here...
Just be sure that You publish them into appropriate section (i.e. Software news in Software News section, security into Secutiry News section,etc...)...

Best wishes guys!

SiliconFreak.
