Thx for a great forum! Along with Google I sure am getting the results I need.
Perhaps it would be worth mentioning on sticky that the firmware upgrades do not solve the software part as various applications still count down region changes. I only found Region Killer 2.7.0.2 after pulling my hair for a few hours! [:)]
Now happily using fw2C8 [:D]

Well even the drive is region free, the DVD player needs also to be reset,so that's why the regio killer software solved your problems
