GeForce 7 rumours and speculations.
Post here whatever you hear!

Almanac -> RE: GeForce 7 (6/22/2004 6:17:53 AM)

Some hardware sites estimate that the next GeForce 7 family will exceed the 1 GB memory bus width! It frightens me to calculate the Memory Bandwidth and Pixel Fill Rate values the GeForce 7 is going to have [:o]

Fallen Paladin -> RE: GeForce 7 (6/22/2004 6:30:08 AM)

C'mon don't you have more imagination? Even the GeForce 6 series will soon reach the 1GB memory bus. I'm kinda sure that Nvidia will leave us stunned once again.

Perhaps ATI will win the next match.

Interesting news about Geforce7, how about posting some specs here?

Me too! Let us hope that CDRinfo will satisfy our expectations

Zeratul -> RE: GeForce 7 (6/28/2004 9:19:47 AM)

Hey if the GeForce 6 series have about 1000MHz core clock, what will the core speed of the GeForce 7 be?

Leviathan -> RE: GeForce 7 (6/28/2004 9:22:15 AM)

To be honest I'm afraid to speculate the core speeds of the next VGA beast [:-]

Aren't they tinkering with a Dual core approach, though dual core has a rather speckled history.

The pinnacle of dual cores (on dual cards) was the 3dFX Voodoo 2 SLI - two cards, PLUS your main graphics, but it ROCKED.

ATI's sole foray into dual core was the ill-fated Rage Fury MAXX - the miserable drivers were a curse they took a long time to recover from.

And of course, there's the multiple core design that saw the end of 3dFX - earlier and not as punishingly expensive, and it might have saved them, instead of just being a historical curiosity.

And finally, making little impact, the Volari duo ... to little, too late, too dear - like many of the promising upstarts threatening to rise against ATI and Nvidia (where did Trident go?), they have promised much, and carried on promising.....

If anyone can make a go of multiple core, it's probably Nvidia - even if they have to cheat on the benchmark and assign the cores in optimum arrangement [:@]

It seems that Nvidia has already started the production of its dual processor cards, taking the technology lead once more. I can't wait to the test the upcoming dual processor beast [8D]

Matthew -> RE: GeForce 7 (7/8/2004 5:33:01 PM)

Actually, The report I was remembering was about dual cards, possible with more than one PCI express slot.
Though if they can make dual GPU's work, why not a dual GPU card, to extend the life of the Geforce 6 family.
