jwu42 -> Toshiba SD M-1502 - ASPI Errors (9/23/2001 6:34:08 PM)

Here is one for the experts.

I just built this PC and choose this DVD based on a friend's suggestion. Here is the current problem. I am unable to rip audio cd's. I get constant ASPI errors in both Audiograbber and WinDAC.

I am running Win 2000.

One weird thing I noticed is that the drive shows as SCSI in Device manager (It isn't SCSI). Thinking this could be the problem? Windows installs the drive automatically and there are no drivers on the toshiba website.

Appreciate your help.

Thanks!

Jwu42,

have you checked your ASPI version? Perhaps you need an update?

I found that I don't have wnaspi32.dll on my system. I assume this is needed in Win 2000?

I went to adaptec to d/l ASPI drivers and they said I can't download them since I run Win 2000.

I am stumped! Still confused about the drive showing as SCSI as well!
