rfinester -> CD ripping drive (2/23/2008 5:01:18 PM)

Any suggestions for the best drive for ripping music cd's? I use dBpoweramp for ripping. Cost is not a major concern, although I would prefer a sata drive, as well as one that is currently available from a seller like newegg. Also, a cd-rw would be okay if it was much better than the DVD version. (I know the old retired plexor premium is often suggested for ripping, but I'm not dying to put an old used ide drive from ebay in my machine if possible.) I tried to figure this all out from google searches and these forums, but have come away mostly confused. Also, this sites DVD burner roundup is years old.
Thanks for the input. I'm sure everyone’s opinions will be of interest to more than just myself.

The Samsung SH-S203B is a decent CD ripper.
