graphic artist from new york -- just bought a dual layer burner, benq dw1655 external. in all, i think this must be the 6th or 7th writer i've owned. i can't even remember the first (which i bought sometime in the mid-90s), which is odd, since i usually remember minutiae like that. i think it was a teac, or used their mechanism.

unfortunately, i'm having odd problems with the dw1655, which i've posted in the dvd±r/rw forum.

... and i can't seem to upload a custom avatar. it's a 12k 145x145 jpg. ("error saving file to disk" and "file is too large!")

i'm also getting errors with a 8k 100x100 gif.

Hi friend and welcome to this forum! I would suggest posting problems with your drive at other revelant forums. About the avatar problem maybe you should PM SP, he is the admin so he can help you out
