I need some help with a problem that just recently came to my attention.....my disk drives are not showing up in my devices/storage devices in "My Computer"

What is your configuration? Primary/Secondary Master/Slave? Have you set properly the jumber settings? You can also unistall the IDE channel you have on the drives, from Device Manager, and reboot. This way your system will re-identify the drives.
