Having recently reviewed the creative Zen Stone Plus a few months back, which I highly recommended, I couldn't wait to get my hands on Creative's new flash-based ZEN. This highly featured digital media player allows the user to play MP3, WMA, Audible and WAVE file types, plus WMV support Movies and Photos on the move, bringing you a whole world of entertainment at the touch of a button. The model we have today is the 4GB version, but the ZEN is available in three other sizes to choose from, and that's not all the ZEN is hiding under its belt...

The Creative ZEN is the new line of MP3 players that shall replace the ZEN Vision W. This may disappoint some of the Creative fans and also seems like an oddball on Creatives part to dump a 60GB player in favor of a 16 GB one. Regardless of the management decision, this little wonder here is really a marvelous thing to look at and use.

Creative has come up trumps with its new, flash-based, mini media player. Pitched as a direct competitor to the iPod nano it beats it on most fronts with the one exception being that its physical controls aren't quite as nice to use. It comes in a greater range of capacities, has a larger screen and, importantly, isn't tied to iTunes or a proprietary cable for syncing and charging. It comes in at roughly the same price too, the 4GB version selling for just under £100.
