In this review, PCSTATS is testing the Biostar TForce P965 Deluxe motherboard. This board is based on Intel's P965 Northbridge and ICH8 Southbridge chipsets. PCSTATS will show you both Pentium D and Core 2 Duo performance so you get an idea of what to expect when running an Intel P965 Express based motherboard. With Intel phasing out IDE, Biostar address the lack of native IDE channels by integrating a separate IDE controller onto the Tforce P965. Other integrated goodies on this full sized ATX board include Gigabit LAN,7.1 channel high definition Intel Azalia audio, a flurry of USB2.0 jacks, and expansion slots. For the tweakersout there, Biostar also equips this board with hand power and reset buttons right on the PCB!

Biostar may be an underdog in the crowded motherboard market, but their latest TForce P965 Deluxe motherboard has what it takes to compete with top tier products. With a bargain price, nicely featured, aggressive performance and solid stability, this is real value for money.

The Biostar TForce P965 Deluxe performed very well in all the benchmarks. In office oriented applications and content creation type tasks, the TForce P965 outperformed the Intel 975X and nForce4 SLI-based motherboards used for comparison. The situation was even nicer when putting the Tforce P965 Deluxe through a round of 3D gaming tests. With a Geforce 7800GTX running in the test bench, the Biostar TForce P965 Deluxe came in first in 3DMark05/06, FarCry and X3: Reunion!
