With the introduction of the SL Series notebooks, Lenovo continues its trend of pushing the ThinkPad name out of its lofty perch and into more affordable territory. The 14.1-inch version bulks up a bit for the sake of keeping price low, but retains Lenovo's signature ThinkPad durability and feel, along with competent performance for a business machine. But some minor issues still need to be ironed out.

Today we've got a detailed look at Lenovo's new ThinkPad X200. Though it may appear that the X200 is an offshoot of Lenovo's ThinkPad X300, the ThinkPad X200 is actually more of a successor and direct descendant of their ThinkPad X61 line. This is clearly evident both in the X200's design and its specifications. Lenovo's X300 tries to be as compact and feature-rich as possible, sacrificing raw computing power to present a fully featured notebook in an amazingly compact frame. However, the X200, just like the X61 before it, takes the opposite approach, sacrificing some size and features to preserve compute power. Built on Intel's new Centrino 2 platform, the ThinkPad X200 is well equipped with the latest technologies and powered by a standard-voltage Core 2 Duo Mobile Penryn processor. Stop on by for a look?

We mainly know Lenovo for their line of ThinkPad notebooks, but consumers really do not like those laptops because of their plain styling. Luckily for consumers Lenovo has released a new line of notebooks called their IdeaPad series. We first got a look at Lenovo's Ideapad series at CES earlier this year. Out of the 3 new notebooks we were most interested in the very tiny U110. This small laptop has a lot of very innovative features like a LED backlit screen and facial recognition. At only 2.92lbs it is a perfect notebook for traveling and mobile users. Will all these features make the U110 worth its price tag? Read on to find out.

Lenovo tests the waters in the LCD market with a product that we've been waiting quite some time for -- a 22" LCD monitor that offers a 1920 x 1200 native resolution. But is its resolution alone enough reason for you to give the nod to the L220X, or is it worth waiting for other manufacturers to follow?

The X300 notebook has an Intel Core Duo SL7100 (1.2GHz, 4MB L2, 800MHz FSB) CPU. The monitor is a 13.3" WXGA+ TFT (LED backlight). There is a 3x3 UltraConnect II which is a connectivity suite offering wireless LAN, UWB (UltraWide Band), Bluetooth and numerous wireless WAN choices including a system that utilizes native GPS functionality that is built into the X300. The hard drive is unique in that it is a solid state drive (SSD) 64GB in size. What this means is that the hard drive is not a rotating disk in the traditional sense, but rather comprises of several chips with addressable memory arrayed in a specific format to prolong the usability of the SSD drive.

Lenovo has released its Macbook Air "killer," the svelte and feature laden ThinkPad X300. While Apple had to make a number of compromises on the Air to get it down to its remarkable size, Lenovo took the opposite approach and have crammed as many features as possible - including an optical drive - into the X300. It's an expensive notebook because, unlike the Air, it comes with a solid-state 64GB hard drive standard. As of the time of this review, the Lenovo ThinkPad X300 is priced from $3000 USD.

We're writing to let you all know that we have just posted a new article at HotHardware in which we evaluate the features and performance of Lenovo's sleek ThinkPad X300 ultra portable notebook. According to Lenovo, the ThinkPad X300 was designed to be the most efficient notebook the company has ever offered, with claims of a 25% reduction in power consumption in comparison to previous X-Series models. To achieve this, Lenovo attempted a balancing act of sorts, equipping the X300 with a low power Core 2 Duo CPU, a Solid-State Drive and an LED backlit monitor. The question is, has the focus on low power consumption come at too big a price, both in terms of dollars and overall performance? Head on over to the site and find out...

Lenovo's spanking new and super slim ThinkPad X300 is the latest entry to the ultra-portable notebook segment and touts features such as an ultra-slim DVD burner and more connectivity options than Apple's MacBook Air. We take a look at this slim beauty to see if it lives up to our expectations.

Lenovo faced a great challenge when designing the ThinkPad X300. It had to make things really small without losing key capabilities, such as performance, battery life, quality, reliability and functionality. With thanks to Intel's ever-shrinking Centrino platform Lenovo has created a laptop that is amazingly thin and light, but still looks great, is built like a tank, and offers plenty of configuration options. As far as we're concerned the ThinkPad X300 is the best ultra-portable laptop you can currently buy.
