"The majority of PC users out there have regular mechanical hard drives in their computers, it?s going to be a long time before SSDs replace them. Hard drive companies like Seagate know this and they?re not going to stop improving the technology, with the introduction of the new SATA 3 interface we?re starting to see hard drives to go with it. The first company out the door with one was Seagate, and it?s a big one coming in at 2 Terabytes in size called the Barracuda XT, and that?s what I?ve got for review today. The Barracuda XT is not only the first SATA 3 capable drive but it?s one of the fastest on the market today even with the SATA 2 interface. I?ve put the Barracuda XT up against three other hard drive including the Western Digital Caviar Black, a Hitachi and one from Samsung. So read on to learn about a drive that you?ll want to if you?re thinking of upgrading your system?"

?This new power supply comes from the X Series lineup, currently available in 650W and 750W power ranges, and is geared to the discerning consumer that wants excellent efficiency, features, and quality. To be sure, that combination doesn't come expensive, but at about $200 USD, the X Series 750W offers reasonable value for what you get in return.?

Most of the discussion surrounding the Radeon HD5830 video card has been about its performance relative to its two nearest neighbors in the ATI lineup. People are falling over backwards trying to get a fix on its which side of the fence the 5830 belongs: closer to the HD5770, or nearer to the HD5850. In Benchmark Reviews' recent evaluation of the HD5830, we compared it to a wide variety of video cards, including several that are not compatible with Microsoft's DirectX-11. Our DirectX-10 testing provided a level playing field for all the video cards, so we could make a fair comparison with older graphics cards that readers may currently be using, and the current models from NVIDIA that are limited to DX10. Still, gamers are itching to see how the new crop of cards would fare with DX11 enabled. So then, let's find out, shall we?

"Today for review I?ve got another printer for you, it?s an All-in-one from Lexmark called the Interact S605. The S605 is not a bad printer, the print quality is very good for everything, photos come out beautiful, and the regular printing is very good as well. This printer is a networked printer over wireless, but it can also connect to the internet and you can view newsfeeds and access other things from the internet right on the display. The display is a nice and large 4.3? touch screen display, it?s color and it?s even animated as well for some things. As a printer it?s not bad, but I ran across some issues with it that didn?t make me too happy, I even had to call tech support at one point, so read on to learn more? "

Lenovo proved at the Consumer Electronics Show in January that it wasn't messing around when it comes to latest generation of notebook technologies. The company has a vast array of options, from tiny to huge, and they span the gamut from casual road warriors to hardcore business users. There's also a machine or two in there for the gaming and multimedia crowd, though you probably wouldn't guess that the ThinkPad T410 was in that category at first glance. This machine, along with the T410s, T510 and W510, received notable upgrades just last month, with Intel's latest Core i5 and Core i7 processors hopping on board to give the classically tough and plain ThinkPad line a much-needed breath of life.

The 2010 edition of Kaspersky Internet Security comes packed with their Anti-Virus application bundled with new improvements including a handy Safe Run mode to isolate and test applications before a proper install and a Game mode to keep gamers from alerts and popups during their gaming session. Kaspersky Internet Security 2010 wasn?t a quick install but was relatively hassle free. Once you place the CD in the drive, navigate your way through its contents and you?ll find two installation files ? one for an Arabic installation and the other for English. Right before the installation process begins you?re treated to a confirmation screen where you can agree to use Kaspersky?s new behavioral engine, the Urgent Detection System (UDS). The UDS simply gathers data anonymously from everyone using the Kaspersky Internet Security suite and uses the compiled information to ensure better security for its users.

"Late last year we reviewed the Jetway NC92 Atom IPC motherboard that was a nice Mini ITX board with an Intel Atom N230 processor. A few weeks after that, at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, the new Pineview processors were shown off. The Atom N400 and D510 Pineview CPUs are only a moderate upgrade from the very common Diamondville Atoms, but the newer Atoms are beginning to work their way into more nettops and netbooks. Jetway is one of the vendors that was quick to design a new IPC motherboard that bears the Intel Atom D510 dual-core processor with Intel GMA 3150 graphics and the NM10 Express Chipset."

"This motherboard can be recommended to users who upgrade rarely and have no need for the latest innovations. Consider this solution, if, upgrading, you tend to use as many older parts you already have as possible."

With SSDs becoming more popular and with newer operating systems finally offering native support, it is only natural that more and more companies would be stepping into the ring with products. "Intel will be launching very soon the world's first six-core CPU for desktops, Core i7-980X (codenamed "Gulftown"), a socket 1366 processor running at 3.33 GHz, and we had the privilege of benchmarking this beast. Let's see what kind of performance level it will deliver."

"The Cooler Master HAF 932 AMD Edition was a joy to work with. The HAF 932 AMD Edition case is a full tower case. There is plenty of room for the largest of graphics cards with room to spare. Measuring 22.20" x 9.60" x 22.04" the Cooler Master HAF 932 AMD Edition has more than enough room for a full water cooling loop with no modifications. The fact that the case is made out of steel does make it a little on the heavy side, 29.1 pounds isn't horrible though. The option to run dual power supplies and a cooling loop with a dual radiator is also a nice touch..."
