Corsair FlashVoyager GT 8GB

3. Tests

In order to test the USB drive, we used two systems:

  • Biostar TA690GAM2 with AMD Athlon X2 4600+
  • 2x1GB Crucial PC2-8000@400Hz (4-4-4-8)
  • WD 36GB Raptor
  • Windows Vista Ultimate 32bit

And the second system is based on the Intel C2D

  • Shuttle SD32G2 with Intel C2D E6300
  • 2x1GB Crucial PC2-8500@400MHz (4-4-4-8)
  • WD 36GB Raptor
  • Windows XP SP2 with all latest updated installed

Under Windows XP, we were able to test the RAW performance of the Corsair Voyager GT 8GB USB Stick

Below are the test results. As we can see, almost flat, constant performance for both reading/writing functions

The USB stick was able to read all data at 25MB/sec, while its writing performance was very close to 23MB/sec.

Under Windows Vista, we used Sisoft Sandra 2007 XI SP2 for the two available tests:
