Two new Nikon Coolpix announced

Nikon have made two additions to the Coolpix digital compact camera range; the 4Mp Coolpix 4200 and the 5.1Mp Coolpix 5200. Both cameras include a 3x optical Zoom-Nikor lens, with a focal range equivalent to 38-114mm in 35mm format.

Both cameras offer 15 scene modes, Nikon's advanced red-eye reduction, and a choice of automatic, preset and manual white balance. They also sport a 1.5 inch 110,000 pixel TFT LCD screen and 12Mb of internal memory.

The 5200 will record TV-sized video footage with audio at 30fps, where the 4200 will record at 15fps. The 4200 will be available from June, with the 5200 available from May. Prices have not yet been announced.
