Sony unveils new DVD Dream system line-up

Sony introduced its new DVD Dream(TM) system home theatre solutions, which provide enhanced audio/video performance and new cosmetic design in one convenient system.

Sony's new line-up of DVD Dream systems is highlighted by the DAV-FC9 model, which features a five-disc DVD-video/CD/Super Audio CD player/receiver, four unique slim tower speakers, a low profile centre channel speaker and a separate active subwoofer for a powerful, complete home theatre system.

The DAV-FC9's new adjustable-height speakers and stylish, slim receiver enable easy integration of the full-scale system into virtually any home theatre set-up. Additionally, the tower speakers can be removed from the integrated stand to provide a wall-mount option, perfect for use with today's flat panel display devices. It also offers progressive scan output for crisp, clean video image reproduction with DVDs.

The new system also offers MP3file playback functionality so music lovers.

The DAV-FC9 is available through authorized Sony retailers and the Sony stores across Canada or online at www.sonystyle.ca at a suggested list price of $1,199.99. It is accompanied by:

- DAV-FC7: This five-disc DVD/CD/Super Audio CD player/receiver features progressive scan output and offers 600 watts of total system power for rich sound and picture performance. The unit's four small satellite speakers are suitable for any environment. The DAV-FC7 has a suggested list price of $799.99.
