Dual DVD Burner from TEAC

Teac announced a new dual DVD recorder. The DV-W50D Kit supports the 4x DVD+-R, 2x DVD-RW, 2.4x DVD+RW, 16x CD-R and 10x CD-RW writing speeds.

The ATAPI/IDE drive has a 2 MB data buffer that enables a continuous data flow while burning. A buffer underrun protection additionally secures the data transfer during the burning process, and consequently prevents high error rates.

TEAC has integrated the “Regional Playback Control” (RPC phase II mode) in the drive’s firmware. Changes to the DVD country codes can be carried out up to 5 times.

But that’s not all! The TEAC DVD burner comes with the great burner and studio software from Pinnacle (Version 8), the total video-editing solution for the PC. Simply capture your video footage and then use the professional editing features like scene transitions, title effects, and fast/slow motion to create compelling movies. After the video has been edited you can output to burn your movies to the DVD that will play on most living room DVD players.

The DV-W50D kit comes with all connection cables and a DVD-R blank. It is expected to cost approximately € 289 including VAT.
