6 DVD makers to get patent royalty from Chinese

Five Japanese and one U.S. companies with DVD-related patents have reached a basic agreement with a Chinese industry association over royalties, making it likely they will receive payments for patents from about 100 Chinese companies, industry sources said Monday.
