CES 2018: HyperX Unveils Infrared Synchronized DDR4 RGB Memory, Wireless Headset and RGB Gaming Gear

HyperX, the gaming division of Kingston, today announced the first memory modules featuring synchronized RGB lighting with IR (infrared) technology, along with the HyperX Cloud Flight headset, HyperX Alloy Elite RGB mechanical keyboard and HyperX Pulsefire Surge RGB mouse.

In the new HyperX Predator DDR4 RGB memory, HyperX has designed IR communication channels onto each memory module, allowing multiple modules to sync LED lighting. Powered directly from the motherboard, this technology provides an enhanced visual experience of RGB memory for gaming, overclocking PCs and DIY system builds.

In addition to IR synchronized RGB lighting control, the Predator DDR4 RGB modules also support multiple lighting profiles when plugged into motherboards with compatible RGB control software. HyperX is working with motherboard partners to test and qualify the HyperX Predator DDR4 RGB memory with their control software, including ASUS Aura Sync, Gigabyte RGB Fusion and MSI Mystic Light Sync. In addition, chassis vendors like In-Win are also adding features to support RGB lighting and control.

The Predator RGB Memory is scheduled to ship in Q2.

At CES, HyperX will also be showing an expanded line of gaming gear including:

The HyperX Cloud Flight wireless headset offers up to 30 hours of battery life, the longest battery life available in the gaming market today. It is sporting a closed cup design with 90o rotating ear cups, 50mm drivers and broadcasting at 2.4 GHz. The headset is TeamSpeak and Discord certified and includes a detachable noise-canceling microphone. The PC, PS4 and PS4 Pro ready headset also comes with built-in controls to adjust LED effects, mic mute, power, and volume and supports a three-pole analog audio connection.

The HyperX Alloy Elite RGB keyboard, HyperX's first full-featured RGB mechanical gaming keyboard, offers complete color customization with NGenuity software. The keyboard offers up to three custom lighting profiles that can be saved directly to the keyboard's on-board memory for on-the-go lighting. It is built with a steel frame and has dedicated media buttons, a pass-through USB 2.0 port, quick access lighting control. The keyboard will be available in red, brown or blue CHERRY MX key switches.

The HyperX Pulsefire Surge RGB mouse features dynamic 360° RGB lighting effects and is designed with the Pixart 3389 sensor for accuracy and speed, with settings up to 16,000 DPI. Customizable native DPI settings allow gamers to monitor settings with an LED indicator. In addition, the mouse includes Omron switches with 50M click reliability. Using HyperX NGenuity software, gamers can assign personalized macro functions to the six programmable keys and store them in a macro library.

The new products will be available through HyperX's network of retail and e-tail outlets as follows:
