Global recordable DVD G-8 meet at RITEK

Recordable DVD Council (RDVDC) 6th Promotion Meeting and Secretariat Meeting took place on April 25 and 26 in Taipei. RITEK hosted the meetings this year and all Executive Members, including Panasonic, Hitachi, Toshiba, JVC, Maxell, AMC, Samsung, and the only Executive Member from Taiwan - RITEK, took part in them.

RDVDC is the only promotion organization for DVD-R, DVD-RAM and DVD-RW that DVD Forum has recognized. It consists of 81 manufacturers around the world with the aforesaid 8 as the Executive Members. Its purpose is to promote and create more convenient DVD products and an enormous marketplace for Recordable DVD through exchange among members in terms of respective technologies and market experiences. The meetings kicked off at International Conference Center, Formosa Regent Taipei. The Secretariat Meeting first took place on the 25th after Mr. Jin-Tai Yen, Chairman RITEK, made his welcome speech as the host. The Promotion Meeting took place at RITEK Headquarters in Hsinchu on the 26th. All the participants were trying to reach agreements in terms of issues such as the global promotion strategy for Recordable DVD in the meeting.

RITEK has always spared no effort to the promotion of Recordable DVD. It is the first that produce the full range of Recordable DVD products and the only representative from Taiwan among the Executive Members of RDVDC. Now, RITEK's Recordable DVD products take lead among its rival whether in the accreditation of DVD Forum or in delivery progress. The fact that RCDVD Promotion Meeting and Secretariat Meeting took place at RITEK this year further proves RITEK's leading position in the domain of Recordable DVD.
