CD Associates Announces New Stamper And CD Analyzers

CD Associates (CDA) has introduced the Quantum 8000 8X CD analyzer. Each Quantum 8000 drive is an independent, top-loading system that performs full CD analysis, including jitter, advanced error-mapping, eccentricity, and track pitch. The system uses CD Associates' Windows-based software, which features CDA's multiple reference-set auto-calibration. Automated functions include user-set printing configurations, user-configurable data views, configurable test options, and user-defined spot tests and graph configurations. Users can tile windows to view multiple graphical and/or digital data streams while testing. Settings are safeguarded with three levels of user-defined password protections. The system can perform full analog and digital CD analysis at 8X speed.

CD Associates has also announced the SP3000R CD stamper analyzer. The SP3000R provides full digital analysis of a CD stamper, as well as verification of VTOC, sector information, Subcode analysis, and verification of file structure. The SP3000R also provides digital error mapping, a graphical color representation of digital error distribution on the stamper. The system contains an 8X stamper analysis drive and a 40X CD/CD-R analysis drive, and performs stamper and source or replica CD/CD-R analysis, error mapping on the stamper and CD/CD-R stamper, and CD/CD-R image creation on the hard drive, byte-to-byte compare between the stamper and a CD replica or CD-R source disc, and byte-to-byte compare between the CD/CD-R or stamper and a hard drive image. The SP3000R is SafeDisc-enabled.
