TTR Technologies/MacroVision alliance with Sonopress

SAFEAUDIO is an audio copy protection solution for music CDs designed to prevent unauthorized copying of CD albums, or particular tracks on a CD. SAFEAUDIO provides high compatibility with legacy players, including PCs. TTR jointly developed jointly developed the SAFEAUDIOŽ CD copy protection solution with Macrovision. The SAFEAUDIO process is applied during the mastering process at CD manufacturing facilities.

The advent of low cost CD-R consumer media copying devices, and the concurrent proliferation of the Internet, render content owners increasingly vulnerable to unauthorized use and distribution of their content. Artists, labels, publishers, and retailers lose billions of dollars every year to copying and ripping of music.
