TraxData London closes operative trade

This is the official english press release that came from E&K Data:

"...TRAXDATA Ltd., London, closes operative trade. The rights for the brand TRAXDATA have been acquired by a subsidiary of Ritek, Taiwan. The distributor E&K DATA AG, Viersen, Germany still markets storage media and CD-R/CD-RW-Recorder in Gemany and its neighbouring countries.

Traxdata Ltd, London, discontinues selling Traxdata products. However, the traditional trademark TRAXDATA still remains on the market. The world-wide rights of the trademark are now owned by a subsidiary of Ritek, Taiwan. Ritek is the largest CD-R manufacturer of the world. Since years Ritek has already produced storage media such as CD-R?s and Compact-Flash-Cards in Taiwan for Traxdata. During the last years Traxdata has advanced to the market leader in the field of CD-R media (look at such as the latest market analysis from Santa Clara Consulting and Understanding & Solution).

Traxdata labelled products will still be distributed by E&K DATA AG, Viersen, Germany. Also the marketing and service of the TRAXDATA products will still remain in the hands of E&K. For over seven years E&K has been selling exclusively and successfully Traxdata CD-R?s and CD-R/CD-RW-Recorders in Germany, Switzerland and Austria. E&K supports the service-hotline and regulates the warranty processing for endusers, retailers and all other customers from the countries above mentioned..."

"...In addition, TraxData UK declared bankrupcy 2 weeks ago. Therefore TraxData UK can not be sold, and their status remains as is for the next 2 months. Also other TraxData branches (France, Spain, Italy) are independed from TraxData UK and therefore they are not affected in any way whatsoever..."
