FDA approves Microboards medical CD-R media

"...Microboards Technology LLC announced today that its CD-Recordable Media for medical imaging storing has received approval for use in the medical market from the FDA. The media will be used to service the growing use of optical media in the medical market for imaging and storage. The CD-R Media is manufactured by Taiyo Yuden, the inventor of the CD Recordable disc. Taiyo Yuden has widespread market recognition for manufacturing CD Recordable media that supports the highest recording speeds and the greatest level of cross-compatibility between CD recorders and CD/DVD readers. Microboards is the master distributor of Taiyo Yuden in the United States.

The media, which is manufactured in Japan, will be available through Microboards Technology's channel of integrators and VARs servicing the medical market..."
