HP releases new burner with anti-coaster technology

HP announced a new CD-RW drive with the codename "CD12ri". It supports 12x writing, 10x re-writing and 32x reading speed. The interesting is that supports "Buffer Underrun Prevention Technology" that avoids buffer underruns. The buffer size is only 2MB and it comes with the following CDR software: HP CD-Creation Software, MusicMatch Jukebox, ArcSoft Photo Center, Buffer Underrun Prevention and CD-Label Software.

It is no clear yet if the "Buffer Underrun Preverion Technology" comes from Sanyo/Ricoh or OAK technologies…
