TDK Japan will start selling from 28th of April the "GCD1610FU" FireWire/USB and "GCD888UJ" USB CDR-W drives.

- The "GCD1610FU" is actually an internal TDK 16x CDR-W drive in an external FireWire/USB case. The drive supports 16x writing, 10x re-writing and 40x reading (with FireWire) and 8x writing with USB interface. The external case has size of 164Χ258Χ51mm and weights 1.9kg. Last the drive comes with Bs Recorder Gold (CDR Software) and Bs Clip (packet writing).

- The "GCD888UJ" supports 8x writing, 8x re-writing and 6x reading. The drive also supports "JustLink" anti-coaster technology. The external case dimensions are exactly the same as before.
