AMD's Response To Nvidia's GTX 1050 Ti Is The New Radeon RX 470D

AMD is trying to spoil the success of the newly launched Nvidia's GeForce GTX 1050 Ti graphics card with the release of the very promising Raedon RX 470D.

Although it is not clear whether the AMD Radeon RX 470D will be released outside China, the performance figures published online by a Chinese website are very interesting.

You can see that the RX470D features less GPU cores than the RX 470, but the specific Sapphire model is overclocked, so it is offering faster GPU boost clock and memory clocks.

If these data is correct, AMD's Radeon RX 470D sits between the RX460 and RX470 in both pricing and performance terms. The card seems to offer a performance closer to the RX 470 than the GTX 460, making it a potential challenger for the
GTX 1050 Ti.

The benchmarks published give a 5-10% lead to the more expensive RX470 over the RX470D in various games (Hitman, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Ashes of the Singularity, Battlefield 1, Overwatch, The Division and 3DMark Extreme and Time Spy). And in 1080p gaming tests, the RX 470D bests Nvidia's similarly priced rival by as much as 48%, according to the benchmarks.

We are waiting for a comment from AMD on these results.
